Thomas F. Vasti, III, a native of the Hudson Valley, was born in Poughkeepsie in 1966. He joined the predecessors of the law firm of Vasti & Vasti, P.C. as an associate attorney in 1992, and became a managing partner in September, 1996, following in his family's proud history of practice before the bar. Thereafter, Tom's professional career has focused upon trial practice within the fields of personal injury law, automobile collisions, medical malpractice, landlord-tenant litigation, matrimonial and family law, and collection/commercial litigation. He has written and lectured on the topic of landlord-tenant litigation on behalf of the National Business Institute, and participates regularly in continuing legal education programs throughout the State of New York. Tom has successfully received a significant number of Supreme Court jury verdicts and arbitration awards on behalf of seriously injured plaintiffs, who were involved in many diverse forms of motor vehicle collisions. Many of those verdicts have been reported in the New York State Jury Verdict Reporter and the Legal Research Publication. Recently, Tom has achieved the pre-trial settlement of a large medical malpractice action that had been pending before the Dutchess County Supreme Court for five and a half years. The terms of such sizeable settlement, and the parties involved with same, cannot be disclosed pursuant to a non-publicity, non-disclosure clause within the settlement agreement.

In 1998, Tom became a committee-person for the Town of Pleasant Valley Republican Committee. While he continues to serve in such a capacity, he has also been elected to act as chairman to such committee. In addition, in November, 2003, Tom was elected to the position of Town Councilman for the Town of Pleasant Valley for a four year term of office. In June, 2006, Tom was also elected to the Executive Officer position of Treasurer for the Dutchess County Republican Committee.

While completing his legal education at St. John's, Tom participated in numerous trial competitions including the Sparacio Criminal Trial Competitions, the Civil Trial Competitions, and, as semi-finalist in the Rogers Criminal Trial Competition, he received an award of honorable mention. He also qualified for, and participated in, the St. John's Moot Court Competition. As a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and a former treasurer of the University of Notre Dame Marching Band, Tom is an enthusiastic alumni, who makes his home in the Town of Pleasant Valley with his wife, Suzanne, (a transplanted Hoosier and St. Mary's graduate), together with their daughter, Annelise, and their son, Matthew. Tom is an avid golfer and sports fan, who has volunteered as a coach for the Hudson Valley Knights and Millbrook Raiders Football Associations from 1992 to the present time, and as coach and umpire for Little League baseball in the Town of Pleasant Valley from 1992 to 2000.
